Mental health stories, told differently.
Want to hear another side to the stories we’re told about mental health and depression?
“Jacs doesn’t just share her story, she makes people want to speak up. In a world where vulnerability is difficult, she makes it feel not only possible, but vital.”
— Anjelah
I want you to know that getting depressed is normal. Let’s talk about that.
When Jacs started talking to others about depression, and their mental health, she realised two things:
- Most people have struggled with their mental health (and tons have had depression)
- More than anything, we just want to be able to share honest stories about those experiences
Jacs talks use her seven dealings with depression – which stopped her working, socialising and leaving her home – as the basis to explain to audiences just how achingly normal getting depressed makes us.
Her talks set out to do two things:
- Explain to anyone who has struggled with their mental health that there is nothing wrong with us
- Restore the confidence that any run-in with our mental health can take away from us
Having worked on embedding these concepts in her own life, Jacs knows they’re utterly life-changing. She brings this perspective, with humour, humility and humanity to audiences globally.
And people have really nice things to say about her talks.
You can find high-res photos of Jacs online or download her press kit for more speaker info.
